How it works
Closing the feedback loop between ads and results
Advertising platforms learn from the data they receive. Tagerix makes sure that data includes what visitors do after the click.
The short version
When someone clicks an ad, the platform knows about the click. It usually does not know whether that visitor later bought something, submitted a form or booked a call, because that happens on your website, outside the platform. Returning signals means sending a short message back to the platform that says: the visitor who came from this campaign completed this action.
An everyday analogy
Imagine a restaurant that hands out flyers around town. If nobody tells the printer which flyers brought guests to a table, the next batch is printed on guesswork. Counting the diners who arrived with a flyer closes that loop: the printer learns which flyers work and where to hand out more. Signals do the same job for campaigns.
Three steps, in plain words
- An action happens. A visitor who arrived from an ad completes something you care about on your site: a purchase, a sign-up, an enquiry. These are the events.
- The event is matched to its source. The event is connected to the campaign and channel that brought the visitor, using the identifiers the platform provides with the click.
- The signal is delivered. The event is sent to the platform in the format it expects, so it appears in that platform's own reporting and optimisation.
- Visitor clicks an ad
- Action happens on your website
- Event is matched to its source
- Signal returns to the platform
What the platform does with it
Ad platforms use these events in two ways. The first is measurement: reporting shows which campaigns lead to the actions you care about. The second is learning: delivery systems use the signals to find more people who are likely to take similar actions. Both depend on signals that are accurate and arrive on time.
What stays the same
You keep your website, your campaigns and your own reporting. Tagerix is not a tracker and not a CRM; it carries events between places that already hold the information. Results depend on your setup, your channels and the data that is available, and Tagerix does not promise specific numbers.
