Why it matters

Optimisation is only as good as the data behind it

Ad platforms spend budget based on what they can see. The more of the result they see, the better their decisions can be.

When signals do not arrive

A platform that only sees clicks can only judge campaigns by clicks. Campaigns that attract many visitors who never act look as good as campaigns that attract fewer visitors who do. Budget drifts toward volume instead of outcomes. Reporting inside the platform disagrees with what the business sees, and the feedback loop stays open. Each channel tells a partial story, and the team reconciles them by hand.

An everyday analogy

Think of a thermostat that knows whether the heater is switched on but never reads the room temperature. The heating runs, yet nothing tells the system whether the room is actually warm. Ad delivery without outcome data works in a similar way: it keeps running without knowing if it works.

When signals do arrive

Platform reporting includes the actions you care about, not only the clicks that came before them. The delivery systems have outcomes to learn from. Different channels can be compared on the same basis, because each of them counts the same events.

  • Measurement. Campaign reporting reflects results, so it is easier to see which sources contribute.
  • Budget decisions. Spend can follow outcomes instead of proxies such as clicks.
  • Learning. Platform algorithms receive the feedback they need to improve delivery over time.
  • Reporting. Fewer unexplained gaps between platform reports and internal numbers.

A note on realism

Signals do not fix a weak offer or a poor landing page. Delays, gaps in matching, visitor consent choices and platform rules all affect what can be sent. Tagerix aims to make sure that the data which is available and permitted reaches the platforms reliably. We do not promise a specific change in performance, because that depends on your product, your audience and your campaigns.
